About bioTRADING

bioTRADING Benelux B.V. was founded in April 1979. Effective from the beginning bioTRADING manufactures 'custom-made' Ready Prepared Culture Media and Animal Blood Products according to customer specifications.

With over three decades of production experience, bioTRADING is serving the clinical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cosmetic, water, veterinarian, food and environmental microbiology testing laboratories. Our purpose built manufacturing facility is situated in Mijdrecht (NL). Our specially designed systems do comply with GMP requirements.

Over the past 30 years, we have added many new products, moving us into our current position as a full-service supplier for several disciplines in the laboratory.

Today, bioTRADING has over 1,200 prepared culture media products.

bioTRADING is unique, because specialised media can be manufactured to order for both large and small batch volumes - your preferred recipe, brand of media or supplements, bottle or tube size, volume or slope of media.

If there is a formula that can be made by anyone, why not leave it to us as we can do it too!

We make batches of small quantities, even 10 pieces petridishes, up to batch sizes of 10.000 units or even more. We are flexible to serve the customer who needs the product they want: custom-made products! Every batch is completely tested for all parameters, we do not compromise when it comes to quality.

ISO 9001:2008
The company's total commitment to quality and performance was reflected in 1994, bioTRADING Benelux B.V. successfully achieved ISO accreditation. At this moment our certificate is according ISO 9001:2008. Furthermore, thanks to many external audits being regularly undertaken at our facility, we have now adapted our quality management systems to become also a GMP company.

Production facility
The new ultra modern production facility in Mijdrecht, opened in 2009, is equipped to meet pharmaceutical regulations; for Ready Prepared Culture Media. Our Facility Monitoring System is FDA 21 CFR part 11 compliance.

For the production of Ready Prepared Culture Media we use some of the most advanced equipment available, including: magnetic stirred media preparation vessels, hot water rain autoclaves, multi-lane pneumatic petri dish filling machines, datamatrix barcodes and more.
